Hey everyone I just got the CD today, I'm almost halfway through the 2nd CD.

I freaked when "Unepected Song" her voice just sounds soooo different then
from the Song& Dance CD, it was sooo cool. Don't know if anyone else had
the same reaction??

love,
tiff

I got Hey Mr Producer and I had never heard that song before. It was awesome!
Especially that octave jump at the end... WOW!!!!!!! I didn't know she could
go quite that high... I was cheering for her, and I was by myself, LOL!

I know what you mean, tiff. It's almost liek she didn't sing it at the end to
the beat, but still stayed on track. I think she sounded better than ever.

Bernadette does have a very good range, even though sie doesn't use it that
often. In INTO THE WOODS and the end of WITCH'S LAMENT, she goes high
"From something you love, to something you LOOOOOOOOOSE."

I think that she has gotten much better vocally in the past ten years. I saw
"Song & Dance" about five times when it played on Broadway and the last note
of Unexpected Song was always a little painful. However, when I saw her do it
in concert, she nailed it.

I can see a dramatic change in her voice...I have hnever seen her on
Broadway but let's take the recordings of "Bernadette" compared to the
recordings of "I'll bE your Baby TOnight"... they are both great but
you hear the maturity in her voice. When I saw her in concert her
range surprised me- she hit every note beautifully especially the end
of "Unexpected Song".
You know, I actually really like the songs on
"Bernadette"....hmmm...I don't know why I just said that but I figured
I would tell you. I have a 45 of the song "Maybe My Baby WIll" which
is a song along the lines of "Gee Whiz"- hmm...I'm giving out useless
information now so I guess I'll shut up. -Eric

Yes, the CD is more complete (like 40 minutes more than what they showed on
PBS), but don't worry -- a longer video will be out soon on video and DVD
later this month. And sometime after that, they are planning to release an
entirely complete three-and-a-half hour two tape set; more info on that as it
is available.
