See headers | Random... for anyone who has seen the show, what songs do the kids sing? My
US history teacher's daughter is auditioning, and they want her to be
prepared (she doesn't read music, but if she knows it before hand she's ok).

See headers | The kids sing "Doin' What Comes Natur'lly" and "Moonshine Lullaby" -- I think
they also sing chorus in some other stuff? What part would she be auditioning
for -- Nellie or Jessie? Jessie is the older one (Cassidy Ladden, who
currently plays the role, is 4'8"), Nellie is the middle child (Mia Walker, who
currently plays it.. is.. short. Very very short.). And then there's an
understudy girl, who understudies both the roles (Blair Goldberg.) Mia also
understudies Trevor McQueen Eaton, the boy who plays Little Jake, the youngest
Oakley child. I haven't seen the show, but in my playbill from the broadway
previews it says that Jessie sang in one of Tommy and Winnie's songs.. I can't
remember which one offhand. Okay, I just can't remember the name of it... it's
not "Whom Do You Love, I Hope". But I think if she had a solo in that, it got
cut, because Cassidy no longer has any solos :( (and if anybody who has any
authority on changing solos in the song is reading this, they should give
Cassidy at least one solo.. she has a fabulous voice!)

See headers | Yes, the kids sing. They sing in "Doin' What Comes Natur'ly" and "Moonshine
Lullaby". They probably also sing in a few company numbers. Just to be
safe, she might want to learn "There's no Business Like Show Business" just
because that song is the most famous from it. Just learn as much as she cab.
That would be the most helpful. Good luck!! Umm, just a question, do the
kids need replacements already? From what I know, Cassidy got callbacks for
that new "Annie" movie, so she might have to quit the show if she gets cast
and if she goes away too long, then they might say that's she's out. Who
knows. Mia, well, as far as I know, she will want to go back to camp, but
that is not until late June. So, I don't know. Maybe she already wants to
leave. )o: Trevor, well, who knows. No one seems to have any connections
with him. Oh, well!

See headers | I think contracts are up late June, but Cassidy will not be leaving unless she
gets a role in the Annie movie and filming takes more than 2 or 3 weeks. (I
don't know if it will, but she's also not up for the lead anymore - she's up for
Pepper, the role she played on Broadway.) Mia might leave if she wants to go
back to camp. I think they also must routinely have auditions to keep up with
equity standards-- and also, just in case they need someone on short notice,
it's good to have some backups in mind.
